Streatham has beautiful leafy residential areas just off the high street. Although very big, decline in recent periods has meant that what choice you have is not all that great on the high street, but what remains is an eclectic mix of quirky independent and chain shops.
There is however, not one, but three train stations, good restaurants and a great common which seems to be enjoyed by most of its residents on sunny days.
