Have you ever thought about what happens to the vast quantities of used coffee grounds in all the coffee shops round London?

For a few years now, Starbucks have been repackaging them in their original coffee bags and allowing customers to take them home free. Not only is this brilliant applied directly to your plants or in your compost, but it also saves the massive waste disposal costs (lorries on the road, plastic bin bags, rubbish dumps) we're all trying to avoid. Next time you pass a branch of Starbucks, why not go in and take a couple of bags? The more people encourage this scheme, the more common practise it'll become. Better still, why not encourage your own local café to start a similar initiative and let us know at YourLocal London how you get on?
