Free performing arts taster sessions at Harrow Art Centre

Do you have extra free time and would like to attend a music, dance or drama course…but the truth is you are a bit unsure about what suits you the best….Don’t worry Harrow Arts Centre have organised an OPEN REHEARSAL WEEKEND; a great opportunity to view or take part on taster sessions from a range of different performing arts. No fees and bookings are necessary, just turn up before the session starts!

The event coincides with the launch of the Cultural Olympiad to mark the beginning of the UK’s Olympic journey.

You can choose taster sessions for adults and children; just select from:

Friday 26 September

Tabla- Indian percussion with PRSSV. 7pm to 8pm.

Kathak- North Indian classical dance with the Triveni Dance Company. 6pm to 8pm.

Saturday 27 September

Dance and Musical Theatre for children of all ages with Bearfoot Performing Arts School-participation only.

Drama

Age 11 plus 9:45 to 10:30 am.

Age 7 to 10 10:30 to 11:15 am.

Street Jazz

Age 5 to 7 11:15am to 12 pm.

Age 8 to 12 12 pm to 12:45pm.

Age 13 plus 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm.

Musical Theatre

Age 8 to 10 11:15 am to 12 pm.

Age 5 to 8 12 pm to 12:45 pm.

Age 11 plus 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm.

Age 8 to 11 2:15 to 3 pm.

South Indian Dance and Music with Srishti Dance Company. Viewing only.

Bharatanatyam 9 am to 4pm.

Yuva Youth Culture Group 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Karnatic Vocal Music 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Kathak- North Indian Classical dance with the PRSSV. 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

North Indian Classical Music with Sangeet Vishwabharti.

Vocal Music

12:30 pm to 1:30pm
