Our Big Lunch

We had a street party on Sunday. Everyone in our street came with delicious food. The street was closed to traffic for the day and we made loads of bunting to decorate it.

Most people knew their neighbours on either side and maybe opposite. We did a lot of doorstepping beforehand and got to know almost everyone a bit. Most people were enthusiastic about the idea, about a hundred came and brought fantastic food. A local shop gave us fruit and soft drinks.
