Posted Wed 19 Nov: The Thursday Farmers Market in Lyric Square, King Street, Hammersmith always has fabulous lunchtime snacks, food to take home and cook + edible goodies to give as gifts.In December farm-fresh turkeys, Christmas puddings, Christmas cake and Christmas trees will be on sale alongside the usual sausages, chocolates, cakes and cheeses. 11am – 3pm every Thursday.

Posted Fri 14 Nov: Syon Park are running their 'Enchanted Woodland' event from 21-30 November, 5pm to 8pm. Over a thousand lights will illuminate your journey through the beautiful gardens - over 4000 trees and over 400 varieties are planted there. The walk takes between 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 hours, depending on your pace. Refreshments will be on sale. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the door - Adults £5, Children £2. Posted Wed 12 Nov: For the first time this year, parents can apply online for primary schools in the borough, meaning they will be able to access their offer of a place online rather than wait an extra day to receive the letter from the council. Download the form from http://www.lbhf.gov.uk/admissions, alternatively pick up a form from the library, any primary school or state nursery or the Council offices. Don't forget the deadline of Friday 9 January 2009.
