I have been living in East Sheen for just over eighteen months and previously was a stone's throw away in Richmond. My husband is a long-term Sheen resident and I have throughly enjoyed getting to know the area better, especially since my daughter was born last year as I have really noticed the community spirit that can be found here. Consequently I was thrilled to be given the chance to be editor of YourLocal London, East Sheen and Mortlake as it would allow me to bring all the local events, businesses, news, groups and societies, etc. together on one fantastic site!

My mission is to be out and about picking up leaflets and finding out about all the exciting things going on in Sheen and Mortlake. I will need your help though! Please let me know about ANY news or information you think should be on the site and feel free to use the Noticeboard, where you can advertise jobs, venues, services, things for sale, etc. all for FREE! There will also be information on lots of local businesses, telling you about their services, menus or what they sell and giving you the chance to access special offers! Also get chatting in the Chat room on all sorts of local issues which you think other residents would like to hear about and voice their opinion on - you can even contact your local MP, Susan Kramer. As you can see, there really is something for everyone on this site and a chance for us all to get more involved in the community to which we belong.
