Guests were treated to lavish cupcakes and champagne, courtesy of Mimi and rsquo;s Café, which they enjoyed while listening to the www.mini-et-moi.com and lsquo;5-minute fixes and rsquo;, designed to make life easier for busy London mums and their tots.
These covered:

Ab Fabs! Presented by Poppy from Cupcake, an experienced Pilates teacher. She taught the SuperMummies to go from Ab Flab to Fab Abs with tummy toning exercises that take as little as 5 minutes per day.
As a special treat to the Supermummies, to celebrate of the launch of the www.mini-et-moi.com SuperMummy Social Club, every SuperMummy present went home with a fabulous raffle prize.
The long list of prizes were enviable and included an Orla Kiely handbag from www.My-Wardrobe.com, a Mama Mio Supermama kit, baby toiletries from Culpeper and Boo Boo Baby, books from Child and rsquo;s Play and Walker Books, nursery art from Wee Gallery and Carla Daly, musical instruments and sing-a-long CD from Baby Boom Boom, Carton Chic Houses from the Little Fashion Gallery, manicures from Cupcake Spa, the fantastic Dad Rules by Andrew Clover, lots of delicious Green and Blacks and rsquo; Chocolates, breakfast at the fabulous Bertie and Boo café, a toy hamper from Culture Kids and a voucher for Dandelion Lounge.

26th September is going to be the World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. It's a great excuse to get together with friends and raise money for a fantastic cause. Invite family and friends over for coffee, or brew up in the office and make time for a chat with your colleagues. Meet friends in a coffee shop or throw a good old fashioned coffee morning at home. Charge your friends and colleagues a few pounds and get someone to bring some cake! Enjoy and feel good knowing that every penny raised will fund vital Macmillan services and help them develop new ways to change lives.

I'll start a chat in the chatroom so you can find out where you nearest coffee morning will be - so if you're holding one, be sure to let everyone know!

Fitness in Clapham

I was having a leisurely (i.e. slow) jog around Clapham Common this morning and along with the autumnal leaves and conkers, I noticed the huge number of people out exercising.
First up were the hundred or so fun runners racing around the Common. They were all in great spirits given that they must have been started the race during the torrential rain storm that hit Clapham this morning.
Next up were the scary, but very effective!, British Military Fitness guys with their eager (and slightly terrified) recruits. Elsewhere were people with their personal trainers, cyclists and fellow Sunday morning joggers. What struck me was how friendly everyone was. The fun runners smiled and said hello as I ran in the opposite directions. The BritMitFit guys smiled, or maybe grimaced at my slow pace and bad technique! And the Sunday morning joggers, some of whom I recognize from other weeks, smiled as we all dodged the big muddy puddles.
It seems that September is not only back to school season but also back to fitness! Check out the notice board for lots of info on local classes, personal trainers, BritMitFit, gyms and shops to buy your trainers! Happy running!
