Chiswick is predominantly a family place. Driving west out of London you reach an area full of big family houses with gardens, large tree lined streets, good schools and a lively high street filled with bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. An immediate attraction is the greenery; apart from the river which surrounds it and the wide, open spaces of Duke's Meadows, many parts of Chiswick have their own little green. The only downfall is the noise from the A4 which on the plus side is an easy hop to Heathrow Airport.
