Tower Hamlets partnership have pulled out the stops this year to give residents a truly festive December down the 'Roman'...

Razzle dazzle Christmas down the ‘Roman’

Roman Road Shoppers are invited to begin their Christmas shopping in a fun filled atmosphere in and around the market, on Saturday 6 December,

10.00am - 5.00pm.

The free festive entertainment will be part of a three week programme of shopping entertainment organised by the Tower Hamlets Partnership and the council.

Saturday 6 December

On the day there’ll be a temporary ice skating rink in the playground of Old Ford Primary School. At St Paul's Church on St Stephen’s Road they’ll be serving mince pies and mulled wine, whilst choral music plays in the background.   Singers will perform live jazzy Christmas carols outside Idea Store Bow in Gladstone Place. Christmas shoppers with kids under five can take advantage of the drop and shop crèche at Old Ford Primary School.

Roman Road Market and town centre shops will be open for business as usual during all the festive fun.

The market has over 120 market stalls selling the latest fashions, accessories, shoes and household goods.

Shops along Roman Road also offer high quality clothing and shoes for the whole family, as well as foods, cakes, cosmetics, toiletries, beauty treatments, and household goods.

The monthly farmers market returns again to Cardigan Road this Saturday (6 December) selling Christmas treats. Customers can place orders for farm fresh meats and turkeys, seasonal vegetables and other goodies for collection on 20 December.

The weekly Saturday arts and crafts market is the place to go if you want to buy unique Christmas gifts and cards from a number of up and coming artists.

The Christmas fun continues at Roman Road on:
