Dear cat owners,

On my many walks around the village I am always sad to read the missing cat messages that owners put on lamp posts, trees and other visible places.

Especially in the summer months many cats disappear when the warmer weather gets them out of their comfortable homes and into their second most favourite thing to do; exploring their neighbourhood!! When people, unaware of a furry intruder, shut their windows and doors to go on a well deserved break an upsetting and stress full time could be starting for an other family.

As a cat owner my self I encourage anybody who is going through this agonising time to consider putting up a notice at YourLocal London under lost and found as well . This way local people who have come across your cat in one way or the other have yet an other means to contact you and it could mean that your kitty doesn't have to be shipped from its finding place to a rescue centre and could therefore be returned to you more quickly.

Even more importantly, if your cat returns to you it would be great to hear that he or she has been found and is safely curled up in his or her favourite spot. You are also more than welcome to simply share your story or thank the people who helped you get your pussy back. What ever your message here at YourLocal London we are real softies for a good ending!!

If you would like to put a notice up at YourLocal London for your missing cat, dog or any other pet send a photo and text to the email address below. For all other lost and found messages go to the website, the notice board and then lost and found.
