I am a mother of one living in Wandsworth Common however spend most of my time in the Balham and Battersea areas. I am always looking for new things to do with baby in and around Balham and spend time trawling the internet for new things to do, places to go, people to see etc.

I am forever picking up leaflets in shops for ideas but they always go missing or end up back in the recycling when I have my weekly clear out. It's either that or my baby eats the paper and I see it the other end! Now all the information you will need is going to be in one place. Your Local London however, isn't just for us mothers. I will be finding out about all sorts of things going on in the area. Local businesses will feature on the site with descriptions of the services & products they provide and also any news, special offers or sales that may be up and coming. You can also access the businesses own website via a link if they have their own site.

Please also feel free to add in your own local recommendations in our chat room - restaurants and bars, shops, good electricians & plumbers etc.. You can also upload info on our notice board to share with your community. If you have anything to sell this is also a good place to advertise. For instance it will be handy if you have a washing machine to sell and find out Mr Smith on your street needs a washing machine and even better - he is a plumber and can help you fit your new one!
